Ellie’s Review Of The Hypothyroidism Revolution

Become part of the hypothyroidism revolution! I did!

Hypothyroidism diet

Hi, my name is Ellie and this is my experience with hypothyroidism. I was diagnosed in 2009 with hypothyroidism and it has been an emotional and revelatory journey for me, as I am sure it has for you too. I tried medications and a mix of western and eastern alternative remedies from supplements to meditation to lessen my stress levels and stop or heal my disease.

I was just a  bit stressed to say the least! I happened to find this website in my searches for answers and I am really grateful to Claire for telling me about Hypothyroidism Revolution. I wanted to share my thoughts on The Hypothyroidism Revolution, it changed my life.

As I am sure you already know,  hypothyroidism is another way of saying you have an underactive thyroid. But in case you don’t, just briefly if you have recently been diagnosed: it’s a condition that results from the thyroid gland not producing high enough volumes of the thyroid hormone for your body.

The thyroid gland is located just below your larynx in the front of your neck and has the shape of a butterfly formed by two lobes that are located on each side of your windpipe.

The thyroid is a member of your body’s endocrine glands which produce hormones.

Hormones are released into your bloodstream to travel to various organs and tissues and are essentially chemical messengers that are used to control various processes within the body. The thyroid hormone is essential in the development of our bodies as it works to control how energy is used.

The way our body uses energy is called metabolism and if the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone to keep metabolism in check, a number of our body’s functions start to slow down. In many cases, the results of hypothyroidism can be retardation in mental or physical growth and can have many different symptoms.

I was just blown away by the numbers. It’s rather the silent elephant-in-the-room disease…The numbers are staggering with an estimated 4.6 percent of the population in the United States alone aged 12 and older diagnosed with hypothyroidism. The opposite of hypothyroidism is hyperthyroidism where the thyroid is actually producing far too much of the thyroid hormone.

There are a number of ways to treat hypothyroidism but they all involve some form of diet, drug, or supplement and for many who suffer from the condition, none of these methods work. For example, some diets revolve around foods that are supposed to be healthy but have the potential of being harmful rather than helpful to the sufferer.

With medications and supplementation, there is the risk of causing more damage to the thyroid. In fact, most hypothyroidism treatments, including many natural remedies, result in making the conditions worse rather than better.

I know all this because I’ve literally been there, and done that. After suffering for years with hypothyroidism and seeing little if any results from the countless treatments I have tried I had given up. That’s right. I got to the point where I decided that I was never going to be any different than I was and that my life was going to just be the way it was.

I was sick and tired of being sick and tired but what hurt the most were the constant promises of a cure only to be followed by disappointment after disappointment.

I couldn’t take it anymore and chose to just accept my condition without any further attempt at fixing my situation as I started to believe there was nothing really wrong with me. I was born with an inactive thyroid for a reason and I started to accept that I was able to go about my day-to-day activities without anticipation of another new medication or diet that could be ‘the one’ to “fix” my condition.

Then one day I heard about the Hypothyroidism Revolution. I was skeptical at first after having tried virtually anything over the years but the whole concept of treatment focused on not the thyroid, but the multiple pathways to the thyroid made complete sense to me.

Tom Brimyer:

Tom was a longtime hypothyroidism sufferer himself and his story sounded so much like he was describing my life it actually scared me a little. He was just like me, out of energy all the time, struggling to keep awake or stay alert, losing interest in so many things that used to bring pleasure.

Then when I took a left turn and decided to just accept that I was never going to see any improvement in my life, he took a right turn and did some extensive research, and developed a multi-phase program that changed my life.

The first phase was incredible:

Symptoms of hypothyroidismIt’s a diet, but not like any of the diets I had been on before that were supposed to be healthy but actually contained foods that were harmful to my thyroid.

Hypothyroidism Revolution Diet is a thyroid-healing diet that allowed me to slowly remove the foods that were causing problems with my thyroid and replace them with foods that were providing me with proper amounts of nutrients. It actually made me feel a change in my energy levels.

The second phase:

I saw an introduction to a trio of nutrients that were apparently holding my thyroid hostage. The results were incredible.

I was sleeping better, waking up full of energy and in a mental state where I felt able to take on the world. As for the diet part, this phase saw a full transition into the thyroid-healing diet with recipes, meal plans, and diet calculators all becoming close friends of mine instead of hated enemies.

I could not believe the changes I saw in myself and people around me were also saying they could see something good was happening to me.

Phase three:

This kicks the program up a notch by introducing exercise to the equation. I know, the last thing I wanted to do was end up in a gym, but with the Hypothyroidism Revolution plan, once you get to the end of Phase Two you’ll have the energy to do some exercises you may never have tried.

In Phase Three you’ll also discover what exercises to stay clear of because of how they can actually harm your thyroid hormone production. Once I reached the end of this program I could not believe the changes in myself.

I’m so glad I heard about this program and decided to give it a try. Had I not been convinced from hearing the very same story about Tom Brimyer’s life, same as mine, I would have not even taken the slightest notice.

If you are tired of being worn out all the time and sick of all the medications, diets, and supplements that haven’t worked, then you need to take a good look at the Hypothyroidism Revolution. It actually saved my life by changing it! This is me with my cousin celebrating our special birthdays:)
